This notice explains what personal information RK ENERGY UK LTD collects, why we use it, and the rights you have under UK data protection law. It was last updated on 10 October 2026.
Who we are
RK ENERGY UK LTD is the controller of your personal information. We are a private limited company, number 12359065. Our registered office is 82 Southern Road, London E13 9JD. Email [email protected] or call 020 8004 0914.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office. We compare business electricity, gas and water, and arrange meters, EPOS, card payments and introductions to business finance.
What we collect
- Your business name, email, phone number, the service you ask about, postcode and premises address, when you ask for a quote.
- Anything else you add, such as the number of sites, a contract end date or meter details.
- Notes of calls, emails and letters while we are looking after the account.
- Complaint records: the date, your contact details, the status, our assessment, what was done, and the closing statement.
This website does not set analytics or advertising cookies. The only extra record on this device is your Accept or Reject choice, saved in the browser so the notice does not appear again. We do not sell personal information.
Why we use it
- To prepare a comparison you have asked for, and to take the steps before a contract.
- To stay on the account, track renewal dates, and reply to you. That is our legitimate interest in running the service you asked for.
- To investigate a complaint and keep the record the law and our complaints policy require.
- To meet a legal obligation, including a request from a regulator.
You can object to processing that is based on legitimate interests. We will stop unless we have a compelling reason to continue, or we need the information for a legal claim.
Who we share it with
- Suppliers and providers, so they can quote for the service you asked about.
- A finance provider, when you ask us to introduce funding. We do not lend the money ourselves.
- The Energy Ombudsman, a Code Manager, or another dispute body, when a complaint is referred and the rules of that scheme allow it.
- Companies that host our email or this website, only so they can provide that service to us.
If information has to leave the United Kingdom, we send it only where UK law allows, including where the receiver is covered by an adequacy decision or by standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Quote and account records are kept while we are acting for you, and for up to six years after the contract ends, so we can deal with a renewal, a question, or a legal claim. Complaint records are kept for seven years. If you ask us to delete information and we have no duty to keep it, we delete it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, erase it, restrict how we use it, or ask us to send it to someone else where the law gives you that right. Write to [email protected]. We respond within one month.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would like the chance to put a concern right first. Our complaints policy explains how.
