A quote for the service you need
Electricity and gas are where most businesses start. Water, the meter, the till and the funding are quoted the same way: the options set out, then one point of contact.

Sample rates for a typical small business, so the differences are easy to see. A live quote uses your meter and the prices available that day.

Business Electricity
Compared for your meter. We stay on the contract until it ends.
A business electricity price is the unit rate, the standing charge and the contract length read together. The domestic price cap does not set that price. If the contract ends and nothing is agreed, the supply can move onto a deemed rate. We take the MPAN from the bill, compare the panel, and stay on the account until the contract ends.
- Access to over 25 UK business electricity suppliers
- Support for standard, half-hourly and multi-rate meters
- Contracts arranged for micro, SME and enterprise sites

Business Gas
Compared across the panel, with the end date kept on record.
Commercial gas follows the wholesale market, and a contract left to roll over often lands on a poor rate. We start from the MPRN and the end date, then set fixed terms of one to five years side by side. Electricity and gas can be looked at together, so the two end dates are not a surprise six months apart.
- Fixed and flexible commercial gas contracts
- Coverage for single-site and multi-site businesses
- Renewal tracking so contracts never lapse onto deemed rates

Business Water
Retail water for commercial premises. The market in England has been open since 2017.
In England, most non-household premises can choose a water retailer. Scotland has its own licensed-provider market. The regional wholesaler still owns the pipes, so a switch changes who bills you, not the supply. Many accounts have not been reviewed since the market opened in 2017.
- Whole-of-market water retailer comparison
- Consolidated billing across multiple sites
- Leak detection and consumption audits

New meter installation
Half-hourly and new meters, specified for the premises and installed properly.
Half-hourly and new meters are specified from the premises: the load, whether this is a new supply or a change, and how the site will be billed. The network operator owns the connection. The supplier arranges the meter. We make sure the specification, the MPAN and the tariff line up.
- New supplies and meter changes specified from the premises
- Half-hourly meters where the demand or the settlement requires them
- AMR and smart metering where a smaller site needs remote readings

EPOS
Point-of-sale systems that keep sales, stock and history in one place.
Point-of-sale systems that keep sales, stock and history in one place. A till that only prints the day’s takings leaves the rest of the record somewhere else. We compare the system against how the counter actually runs, including more than one till.
- Sales, stock and history on one system
- A till that can sit with the card machine
- More than one terminal, still one record

Card payment solutions
Card machines with next-day settlement, so takings are not held for days.
Card machines with next-day settlement, so takings are not held for days. The comparison is the transaction charge, the terminal, and the day the money reaches the account, read as one cost rather than a headline rate.
- Counter and portable card machines
- Next-day settlement, so takings are not held for days
- Transaction charge and terminal cost read together

Payment solutions
Taking payment in person, by phone or online, arranged around how you trade.
Taking payment in person, by phone or online, arranged around how you trade. A business that does all three should not discover three different payout rules. We line the channels up with the way the sale actually happens.
- In-person payments on a terminal the customer can tap
- Phone payments for bookings and orders
- Online payments and payment links

Business finance
Funding for the business, when a better tariff is not the whole answer.
Funding for the business, when a better tariff is not the whole answer. A cheaper unit rate does not buy the fit-out, the till or the gap in cash flow. We introduce that conversation. RK Energy does not lend the money.
- Equipment and fit-out funding, quoted by a finance provider
- Options for cash tied up in unpaid invoices
- A planned cost set beside the utility review

Electricity
No. The Ofgem price cap limits default prices for households. It does not set the price of a non-domestic electricity contract. Your price is the one agreed in the contract.
