The supply number identifies the meter. A recent invoice is enough to ask suppliers for a like-for-like price.
Terms from one to five years sit on the panel. A longer fix is certainty for the budget. A shorter fix lets you return to the market sooner.
A micro site and a half-hourly estate are both quoted from the meter, with each end date kept.
Electricity unit rates set out supplier by supplier, with the standing charge and the contract beside them.

Ofgem’s domestic price cap does not set a non-domestic electricity price. The price is the unit rate, the standing charge, the length, and Climate Change Levy where it applies. VAT is shown separately. Most businesses start the comparison three to six months before the end date, which is when suppliers will usually offer a new contract.
Electricity
No. The Ofgem price cap limits default prices for households. It does not set the price of a non-domestic electricity contract. Your price is the one agreed in the contract.
